I just came across this on Operation Clambake Message Board (“OCMB”) in a post by a “Don Carlo” entitled “Need help with list of 458 Apollo survivors and their fate:”
Gerry Armstrong Out. critic; married Terry Gilham aboard Apollo; remarried; killed himself.1
I was on board the “Apollo” from 1971 to 1975 and held several posts in the Flagship Org including Legal Officer and Intelligence Officer. I suppose I can be classified as a “critic,” although I am a critic of the “critics,” and have for many years rejected membership in their group. I married Terri Gillham on the ship. And I remarried. There is no doubt that I am the Gerry Armstrong “Don Carlo” has written about. I did not, however, kill myself.
The subject post is dated November 27, 2014. The latest post in the thread, also by “Don Carlo” is June 20, 2018. I cannot tell yet when this statement about me was published. “Don Carlo” is, I think, a moderator on OCMB, and I also think he has been editing the original post through time.
There are years of incontrovertible evidence in plain view in multiple media, including the highest value documentation, that not only did I not kill myself at any time, but no one else or nothing else has killed me either. This mass of easily available exculpatory material did not, however, dissuade “Don Carlo” from publishing the unadorned, unexplained, unsupported lie that I killed myself, which is pretty ugly.
Ironically, for a different purpose than debunking my suicide report, I had just written about my lone near self-death experience, which was at the hands of the Scientologists and their colluders. I’ve slightly edited what I wrote to make it appropriate for posting.2
Because of the obvious need for further irrefutable proof of my animate physical condition that “Don Carlo” and others cannot ignore, I have today written and executed a declaration averring that at this time I am alive, and I am providing herewith a hyperlink to what I also aver is a true and correct image of said declaration.3
